The McInnes House Hotel sits in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, amid the magnificent scenery of the Scottish Highlands. At The McInnes we strive to create a home away from home experience and customer care is
at the heart of our values. We purchased the hotel in 2017 and have since extensively renovated the property to a high standard throughout. Sitting on the A82 in the Highland village of Kingussie we are only fifteen minutes in the car south of Aviemore and half a mile from the River Spey. Couples particularly like the location for a quiet retreat from city life as we are only a two-hour drive from Edinburgh and under a fifty-minute drive from Inverness. We offer free onsite parking for the duration of your stay when traveling by car and if traveling by train we are only five minutes' walk from the Scotrail Kingussie train station.
The McInnes House Hotel is the perfect touring base from which to explore the whisky and castle trails, the
River Spey, the Cairngorm Mountains or simply appreciate the stunning scenery and rich wildlife. For the keen
cyclists we offer secure overnight bike storage and drying facilities for your outdoor wear. With national cycle
route 7 on our doorstep the outdoor seating area is the perfect stopping post for cyclists and walkers to rest.
Our hotel boasts nine charming and individually furnished en-suite bedrooms that invite you to relax and unwind,
in the heart of the National Park. The hotel is decorated in a contemporary style throughout with some added
Scottish flare and beautiful soft furnishings. Behind the grand Victorian 150-year-old facade we have a spacious restaurant with a real coal fire and modern bar located on the ground floor. Our restaurant chefs have created hearty menu, which changes by the season, bringing you locally sourced produce at great prices.
We are proud to be one of the highest hotels in the area with over 120 five star reviews on Trip Advisor.
We look forward to welcoming you to The McInnes House Hotel, providing highland hospitality with a smile.
